Day 160 (ish)

Yesterday was a long day but wasn’t too bad. I worked 11am-8pm, Johnel visited me at work so that was awesome! I also got to spend some time with Brenton at work which was really the highlight of my day.
After work I went to HCC to drop off a gift but ended up staying to help set up for the photo club fundraising shoot happening right as I type this. Not only that, I decided to come in this morning and stay the day to help with the shoot. I’ll post more about that in the “Day 161” blog!

Yesterday I had a couple of thoughts. At work I talked to a co-worker about her daughter moving from Iowa to Houston, Texas. Eventually it led me to talking about “Going for it”. What I mean is when you want to survive in Houston, a large city known for diversity and opportunities, you have to go for what you want. You have to put yourself out there, go into the unknown, take that chance and jump. I also started realizing that for myself. I’ve been doing good this year but I have to do more, I have to jump higher, I have to expose myself more. I also realized that for the photo club. I want things to be better, I want the kids to do better, therefore I’m going to help them as much as I can. I’m going to get off my butt even on days where I’m exhausted. I at least have to try. There’s a lot of things going on in my life right now, things that I can’t control and things that I can, so I’m in the moments of making important decisions that can affect and/or change my future and career. I need to get into my groove again, I need to get moving, I need to make something of myself. I’m only 22, I’ll still relax and have fun, but I’m not going to waste time anymore. Wish me luck, or pray for me, whatever you think I need.
